History
Our first season saw 3 teams in the league. The Bat'titudes, Mac Tools and Speed Bump took to the court in pursuit of something more important than a fancy trophy. The Bat'titudes earned the right to say that they were almost good enough to be considered a real volleyball team by capturing the leagues first championship! :)
The 2011-2012 season sees expansion to 4 teams. The defending champion Bat'titudes and Mac Tools change their names to S*M*A*S*H and Not Mine! respectively. Speed Bump is also back and the Injured Reserve is the new team on the court.
After a fantastic regular season with the top 3 teams being close in the standings, S*M*A*S*H edged out Not Mine! and Injured Reserve for the regular season title.
The Playoffs were very exciting with Not Mine! edging out Injured Reserve in their semi final while S*M*A*S*H defeated last years finalists Speed Bump.
The finals were a fantastic battle and through 4 close sets nothing could be decided. A 5th set tie break to 8 points needed to happen to decide the champion! Not Mine! looked to be in the drivers seat up 3-0 before the Smartest Man in Guelph rattled off 5 straight points with his serve and S*M*A*S*H never looked back. Congratulations S*M*A*S*H!
